What fits in 80 characters?
Every letter, space, emoji and line break counts. A two line bio spends 1 of its 80 on the break.
Emoji are where counts disagree. This tool counts each emoji as 2 characters, the stricter way, so a bio it shows at 80 always fits when you paste it.
Your name and your @username are separate fields, so the bio does not have to repeat the brand. Spend the 80 on what the brand sells or posts.
A practical test: if a bio needs a third line, cut a word from each of the first two instead.
What if you have no link on TikTok yet?
TikTok shows a website link on the profile only when the account has at least 1,000 followers, or a Verified Business Account. A new shop often has neither yet.
A bio that says "shop below" with nothing below is a dead end. Pick "No link yet" in the tool and every bio points to your videos or to a DM instead.
When the link arrives, run the tool again with "I have a link" and swap the last line.

Keep it to two lines

How we checked
Last checked: 28 October 2026. The 80 character limit comes from TikTok's help page on the bio, and the link rule from its page on profile links.
- Ten fit cases were worked by hand: a bio under the limit, exactly 80, a one line bio past it, cut on a whole word, a three line bio losing lines from the end, emoji counted as 2 and never cut in half, a comma left at the end, a line with a link, an em dash, blank lines and markdown. The code agrees with every one.
- Four link cases were worked by hand: with no link on the profile, a bio that says "below", "link" or shows an arrow is dropped, and a bio that points to the videos stays.
- When a bio comes back over 80, the code asks the model once more, then cuts any bio still over. A test sends a 111 character bio and checks that it comes back at 80 or fewer, on a whole word.
- The code removes any @ handle or hashtag you did not type, so no account or campaign is made up.
- Typical, boundary and hostile inputs ran through the real page with the model reply stubbed: an empty form, a two word description, a non-English description and an instruction typed into the description box.
- The eight profiles above carry bios written from each ad's own words and checked by the same code the tool runs.
