What the sizes here come from

Pinterest Help, Edit your profile for how to change a profile photo, and public and private profiles. It gives no size.

ScrapeCreators, Pinterest user boards for the board owner's 75x75_RS picture. A third party: the data source the tool calls. We checked the 280, 140 and 75 files on i.pinimg.com ourselves.

The example pictures on this page are Selzy, Selzee's own mascot, drawn at the sizes Pinterest serves.

The short answer

A Pinterest profile picture downloader takes a username or profile link and gives you the round picture beside the name as a square file. Pinterest serves each profile picture at 280 x 280, 140 x 140 and 75 x 75 pixels, and its help page publishes no size. This tool downloads the 280 x 280 file, the one pinterest.com profile pages load.
280 x 280 is the largest file we found Pinterest serving, and the size its own profile pages use. On 25 October 2026, all three files of Martha Stewart and of Etsy came back at full size. A smaller upload stays smaller, and the tool prints the real size.

	Address segment	What it is
280 x 280	280x280_RS	The file the tool downloads, and the one pinterest.com profile pages load. A smaller upload stays smaller.
140 x 140	140x140_RS	A middle size. The tool skips it.

How to download a Pinterest profile picture

Paste the account

A username, @username, profile link or board link. Country sites like uk.pinterest.com and pinterest.co.uk work too.
Get the 280 file

Our server reads the account's picture from its boards and shows it at the largest size Pinterest has, with its pixel size.
Save it

One click downloads the file. Download another empties the field for the next account.

One mascot, from the circle to the Pin

Two Selzee ads starring Selzy, the Selzee mascot in the profile pictures above.

The face that signs the ad

Selzy gives a thumbs-up beside an approval screen. The same character you saw in the round avatar above now vouches for the product.

The same face telling a story

Selzy plays Sam, buried in competitor ads, then comes back happy. A mascot that reads at 75 pixels can carry a whole tall Pin.

What people use it for

Fair uses, with your own picture or with public ones for reference.

Private profiles, copyright and fair use

This tool reads public profiles only and never logs in. Pinterest Help says a public profile is visible to anyone, and a private one only to the people the owner invites to follow. The tool does not get around that.

The picture still belongs to the person or brand that uploaded it. Keep a copy for reference, and use your own as you like. Before you put someone else's picture in a Pin, an ad or a product, ask them. A profile picture is often a face, and a face is personal data in many countries.

Why 280 x 280 is the ceiling

Pinterest does not tell you the size of a profile picture. The ScrapeCreators boards data the tool reads gives a 75x75_RS address. The tool asks Pinterest for the same file at 280x280_RS, the size the pinterest.com profile page itself loads, and falls back to 75 x 75 if that fails.

Pinterest does not scale a small upload up. For one account we checked, the 280 file came back at 143 x 143. A bigger copy made from that file has more pixels and no more detail.

Pinterest profile picture downloader: FAQ

How do I save someone's Pinterest profile picture?

Copy their username or profile link, paste it into the tool above and press View profile picture. The picture shows at 280 x 280. Press Download to save the file. When you need Pins and ads for your shop, start free with Selzee.

What resolution is a downloaded Pinterest profile picture?

280 x 280 pixels at most. That is the largest file Pinterest serves, next to 140 x 140 and 75 x 75. Pinterest Help gives no size, so these are our measurements. For ads sized for every placement, let Selzee make them from your store URL.

Why does the tool say there is no profile picture?

The tool reads the picture from the account's own boards. If the account has no board of its own, or still shows the default Pinterest picture, there is no picture to read. Once your profile is set, Selzee makes ads from your store URL.

Why is the Pinterest picture I got smaller than 280 x 280?

The owner uploaded a smaller picture, and Pinterest keeps it at that size. For one account we checked, the 280 file was 143 x 143. For ads that stay sharp, paste your store URL into Selzee.

Can I paste a Pin link or a pin.it link?

No. The tool takes a username or a profile or board link, like pinterest.com/marthastewart. Pin links, search pages and pin.it short links do not name the account, so open the profile and copy that link. After the research, Selzee turns your store URL into ads.

Can I get the profile picture of a private Pinterest account?

No. Pinterest Help says a private profile is only visible to people the owner invites, and the tool reads public data only. When you want ads in your own brand, start free with Selzee.

Is it OK to reuse a Pinterest profile picture I downloaded?

Your own picture, yes. Someone else's belongs to them: use it for reference, and ask before you publish it. This is not legal advice. For pictures you own outright, let Selzee make your ads.

How we checked

Last checked: 25 October 2026. Logged out, we opened the profile picture files of Martha Stewart and Etsy on i.pinimg.com at 75x75_RS, 140x140_RS and 280x280_RS, and read the page HTML of both profiles on pinterest.com, which load the picture at 280x280_RS. We read Pinterest Help on editing a profile, which gives no size, and the ScrapeCreators documentation for the boards endpoint the tool calls.

Martha Stewart: 280 x 280, 140 x 140 and 75 x 75.
Etsy: 280 x 280, 140 x 140 and 75 x 75.
Usernames, @usernames, profile links, board links and country domains are in one test file that the page and the server both read.
The download comes from our server, which only fetches a stored address on i.pinimg.com. It never takes an address from you.
A file over 5 MB, a redirect or a file that is not a picture is refused.
