Higgsfield MCP: how to connect Higgsfield to Claude and what to make with it
Higgsfield MCP lets Claude generate images and video with your Higgsfield credits. The server URL, the setup for claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code, what credits it uses, and the ad workflows worth running first.

Short answer: Higgsfield MCP is Higgsfield's remote MCP server at https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp. In claude.ai or Claude Desktop you add it as a custom connector, sign in to Higgsfield, and then ask Claude for images and videos in plain words. Claude Code connects through the Higgsfield CLI instead. You need an active paid Higgsfield subscription, and every generation through Claude costs credits, even on a plan with Unlimited access on the website (Higgsfield Help Center, 2026).
Below you find the setup for each Claude app, what the server can make, what it costs in credits, and the ad workflows a marketer should try first. The pictures are static ads Selzee made. Higgsfield's output is mostly video, so we show its pages as screenshots and not as fake examples.
What is Higgsfield MCP?
Higgsfield MCP is a connector that lets an AI agent use your Higgsfield account. Claude reads your request, picks the Higgsfield tool, and the image or video lands in your Higgsfield Assets, tagged with MCP as the source. It is not the Higgsfield API: there is no API key, you sign in over OAuth, and it spends your plan credits (Higgsfield, What is Higgsfield MCP, 2026).
What can Claude make with it?
Higgsfield's MCP page says the server gives access to more than 30 image and video models (Higgsfield MCP page, 2026). Its help center lists what you can run from the chat:

The site's model menu names video models such as Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.0 and Sora 2, and image models such as Nano Banana, Flux 2, Seedream 5 and GPT Image 2. You can name a model in the prompt, or let Claude pick.
How is it different from generating on higgsfield.ai?
The difference is money. Higgsfield is direct about it: "MCP always uses credits."

What this means for a small brand: if your plan has Unlimited on one model, run your bulk tests of that model on the website and use Claude for the work that needs a conversation, like briefs, variants and research.

You connect it once per Claude app. The web and Desktop apps use the server URL; Claude Code uses Higgsfield's command line tool. ChatGPT gets an official plugin instead of a URL.
Claude Desktop and claude.ai
- Open Customize, then Connectors. (Higgsfield's help page still calls it Settings, then Connectors.)
- Click Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it Higgsfield and paste
https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp. - Click Connect. A Higgsfield window opens. Sign in and authorize. If you are already logged in on higgsfield.ai, this step completes on its own.
- In a chat, click +, then Connectors, and turn Higgsfield on for that conversation.
Custom connectors work on every Claude plan, but the free plan allows one custom connector (Anthropic, Getting started with custom connectors, 2026). On Team and Enterprise an owner adds the connector in Organization settings, and each member then clicks Connect. Once it is added on the web or Desktop, it also works in the Claude mobile apps.
Claude Code
Higgsfield's route for Claude Code is its CLI plus a set of skills, and Claude Code can run the setup itself. Ask it to run these three commands (Higgsfield, 2026):

higgsfield auth login opens a browser window where you approve the sign-in. The CLI can also be installed with Homebrew (brew install higgsfield-ai/tap/higgsfield), and higgsfield account status confirms that it works (Higgsfield blog, October 2026). The CLI and MCP share one account and one credit balance.
Claude Code can also add any remote MCP server with claude mcp add --transport http <name> <url> and sign in through /mcp (Claude Code docs, 2026). Higgsfield documents the CLI route for Claude Code, so use that one.

How do you check that it works?
Start a new chat and ask: "What is my Higgsfield credit balance?" If Claude answers with a number from your account, the connection works. If it answers without calling a Higgsfield tool, the connector is off for that chat. Turn it on under +, then Connectors, or mention Higgsfield by name. The error "Authorization with the MCP server failed" means an expired token: disconnect Higgsfield in Connectors and connect it again.
What should a marketer make with Higgsfield in Claude?
Start with the workflows Higgsfield built for paid ads. Its MCP page lists them as skills you can open with a "Try in Claude" button, each with a short name such as /ugc-flow. The value of running them in Claude is the conversation around the generation: Claude can read your product page, write the brief, and ask before it spends credits.

Recreate an ad that already works
Ad Recreator (/marketing-adapt-video) takes a reference video and turns its story and sales structure into an original video ad for your product. Ad Multiplier does the same for an ad you already run: new product, new location, new hook or new CTA, same skeleton. This is the right job for Higgsfield when the reference is a video. When the reference is a static meme format like the one below, a static ad tool is the cheaper route.
More hooks for one video
Hook Multiplier (/marketing-hook-variants) gives one video several new openings and returns full edited versions. It is the cheapest test in the list, because the body of the ad stays and only the opening changes, so any difference in results comes from the hook. Ask Claude for three hooks in three styles, for example a question, a result and a notification, like the lock screen idea below.

How do you keep Higgsfield credit spend under control?
Tell Claude your limit at the start of the chat. Higgsfield says there is no built-in credit cap for connected agents, so a rule in the conversation is the only control you have. Claude follows it as an instruction, and nothing enforces it.

If credits went out and no file appeared, Higgsfield asks for the generation ID and time when you contact support.

A prompt that uses both: "Ask Selzee to make a new ad from a before and after template. Then ask Higgsfield for a 10-second UGC video of the same product. Schedule the Selzee ad for Friday at 9:00." On the Claude free plan you can only add one custom connector, so two connectors at once need a paid Claude plan.

Higgsfield MCP: FAQ
Is Higgsfield MCP free?
No. Connecting is free, but Higgsfield requires an active paid subscription, and every generation through Claude deducts credits at standard rates. Unlimited access and free generations work only on higgsfield.ai. Start Selzee for free and get your first ads from your website.
Does Higgsfield MCP work with Claude Code?
Yes, through the Higgsfield CLI. Claude Code installs it with npm i -g @higgsfield/cli, you sign in with higgsfield auth login, and the skills come from npx skills add higgsfield-ai/skills. The CLI shares your account and credits with MCP. Set up Selzee, then connect it to Claude Code too.
What is the Higgsfield MCP server URL?
It is https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp. Paste it as a custom connector in claude.ai or Claude Desktop, and leave the API key out: the server signs you in over OAuth. Any MCP-compatible agent can use the same URL. Create a Selzee account to connect its MCP server next to Higgsfield.
Can I use Higgsfield MCP on the Claude free plan?
