On-Brand AI Ad Generators: 7 Tools That Keep Your Brand Guidelines (2026)

Short answer: no AI ad generator keeps a brand on-brand by itself. The ones that come closest combine a brand kit (logo, colours, fonts), a lock or approval step, and a person who checks every ad. Canva and Adobe Express limit what a team may change; Selzee and AdCreative.ai read your brand in and generate from it; Pencil and Predis.ai generate from a brand you set up; Creatify keeps each brand in its own brand space.

On-brand AI ad generators in short

  • Locks and approvals: Canva Business adds Brand Controls and design approval; Adobe Express Teams locks template elements behind a passphrase.
  • Brand read from your site: Selzee learns logo, colours, fonts and products from one URL; AdCreative.ai pulls logo, colours, fonts and style in one click.
  • Brand voice in the copy: Predis.ai stores tone of voice and key messaging per brand; Canva keeps a brand voice of up to 500 characters.
  • Many brands: Canva Enterprise holds 1,000 Brand Kits, AdCreative.ai up to 25 brands, Creatify Business 10 brand spaces.
  • Every tool still needs a human check: Google warns its own Pomelli can change product colours, logos or textures.

Brand controls compared

Checked 15 Oct 2026

The table compares what each tool uses as the brand, what stops a person or the AI from going off it, and how many brands one account holds. Selzee is ours and highlighted. One point goes against it: it has no template lock, because it makes finished ads rather than templates a team edits. How to pick by ad type and price is in 10 best AI ad generators.

Tool Where the brand comes from Locks and approvals Brands per account Makes
Selzee Logo, colours, fonts and products learned from your website You approve each ad before it ships; edits by asking 1 on Pro, 3 on Max, 10 on Agencies Static image ads

Why AI ads drift off-brand

AI ads drift off-brand for five reasons, and each one breaks a different part of the brand. An image model draws pixels, not your logo file, so anything it redraws can change. A brand kit fixes only what the tool places on top of the picture.

The logo and the text get redrawn

When an image model paints a product or a sign, it paints the logo too. Google says its Pomelli can change fine product details such as colours, logos or textures, and asks you to review every image before you publish it. A tool that places your real logo file over the picture avoids this; one that paints the whole scene does not.

Fonts get swapped

A generated headline uses whatever font the tool has. If your brand font is not loaded into the brand kit, the ad falls back to a close match. Upload the font files, not only the font names.

Colours shift with the scene

A product photo in warm evening light pulls every colour toward orange. The hex codes in the kit stay right on buttons and text, but the photo itself changes. Check the product colour against a real photo, not against the palette.

The copy voice wanders

Copy models write in a generic, upbeat voice unless told otherwise. Canva lets a team save a brand voice of up to 500 characters that Magic Write follows. Five good sentences about how you talk beat a list of adjectives.

The product changes

The most expensive drift is a product that looks different from what you ship: a new colour, an extra button, a missing strap. That is why a tool that builds ads from your real product photos is safer for ecommerce than one that invents the product.

On-brand ads Selzee made

Selzee made each of these static ads, and each one is published in the Selzee gallery. The two Mailscale ads use different formats and keep the same colours, logo and voice.

Mailscale, ad one. Brand purple, white logo, a bold italic hook. 4:5.
Mailscale, ad two. A different format, the same purple and the same voice. 4:5.
Selzee. The approval step: a version that feels wrong stays unpublished. 1:1.
Selzee. The problem a template tool leaves: ads that look like everyone else's. 4:5.
Selzee. Its own pink accent and one clear claim. 4:5.

Which on-brand AI ad generator fits you?

Question 1 of 2

What do you need on-brand?

The 7 tools, one by one

Each card gives what the tool uses as the brand, its catch, its price as read from its own page, and who should pick it.

Selzee: your brand learned from one URL

Selzee reads your logo, colours, fonts and products from your website, finds ads winning in your market right now and remakes them with your real product photos. You approve each ad, and it learns every day from the ones you decline.

The catch: Static image ads only: no video, no locked templates for a design team. It posts approved ads to Instagram and Facebook and runs no paid campaigns.

Pricing: From $19/week or $75/month, credit-based. See pricing.

Best for: Ecommerce brands with no in-house designer that need more on-brand static ads than they can make.

Not for: Teams that want a template editor with locks, or video ads.

Canva: Brand Kits, Brand Controls and approvals

Brand Kits hold a team's logos, colours, fonts and assets. On Business, admins can turn on Brand Controls to restrict designs to brand colours and fonts and require approval before anyone publishes.

The catch: Brand Controls are not on Free or Pro, and the free Brand Kit holds 3 colours only.

Pricing: Free plan, then $144/year for Pro and $250/year per person for Business

Best for: Teams where several people design ads and one admin guards the brand. Our Canva Magic Studio review covers its AI ad tools.

Not for: Anyone who wants finished ads without opening an editor.

Adobe Express: locked templates

Adobe Express turns a design into a template with brand restrictions: allowed fonts and colours from up to five brands, and layers locked so that nobody, or only people with a passphrase, can change them.

The catch: Locking and template controls are on Teams and Enterprise only; Premium has brand kits but no locks.

Pricing: Premium, Teams and Enterprise plans on its pricing page.

Best for: Brand teams that hand templates to regional teams or partners and must stop edits to the logo and layout.

Not for: A one-person store: the locks only matter when other people edit.

AdCreative.ai: brand import and scoring

AdCreative.ai imports your logo, colours, fonts and style in one click, generates static ads in many formats, and its Creative Scoring predicts performance and brand recall before you spend.

The catch: Starter holds 1 brand; more brands come with bigger plans, up to 25 on Ultimate.

Pricing: $39/mo Starter for 20 credits and 1 brand (up to $189/mo for 120 credits), $249/mo Professional for 300 credits (up to $400/mo for 600), $999/mo Ultimate for 300 credits and 25 brands (up to $1,399/mo for 600), month to month

Best for: Performance teams that want many format variations from one brand import. Rivals are in AdCreative.ai alternatives.

Not for: Teams that need a lock or approval step inside the tool.

Pencil: brand library and approvals

Pencil asks for a brand kit with logos, fonts and colours plus a short brand description, and builds image and video ads from your brand assets, guidelines and performance data. Its pricing page lists sharing, comments and approval.

The catch: Core has 1 workspace; unlimited brands with role access controls sit on Pro, which is priced on a call.

Pricing: 6 free ads through a guided signup, then $14/mo Core and $55/mo Growth month to month ($11 and $44 a month billed yearly), Pro on custom pricing

Best for: Teams with a full brand library and product videos. Our Pencil AI review has the detail.

Not for: Brands with few product photos: Pencil recommends at least 3 to 5 images and 3 to 5 videos.

Creatify: brand spaces for video

Creatify makes AI video ads with AI actors and keeps each brand in a brand space: 1 on Standard, 2 on Pro, 3 on Max, 10 on Business and unlimited on Enterprise.

The catch: Its pricing page lists no lock or approval step. See the Creatify review.

Pricing: Free plan with 10 credits a month and watermarked exports, then $15/mo Standard, $55/mo Pro, $95/mo Max and $195/mo Business month to month ($12, $44, $76 and $156 a month billed yearly)

Best for: Brands that sell with short video ads.

Not for: Brands whose winning ads are static images.

Predis.ai: brand voice for posts and ads

Predis.ai stores each brand's logo, colours, tone of voice and key messaging, and everything you make under that brand (posts, videos or carousels) uses them.

The catch: Its pricing page lists no lock or approval step, and the cheapest plan holds 1 brand.

Pricing: $19/mo Core, $40/mo Rise, $212/mo Enterprise+ billed yearly during a sale ($32, $79 and $249 month to month), extra brands $5 a month each, 1,200 extra credits $29 a month, 3 days free but it takes a card up front

Best for: Small teams running social posts and ads from one place. Rivals are in Predis.ai alternatives.

Not for: Teams that need to stop edits to a layout.

What each tool's homepage leads with

Our own screenshots of five of the compared tools, taken on 15 Oct 2026. The headline shows what each tool is built for first.

Adobe Express sells one app for every kind of design. Brand locks sit in the Teams and Enterprise plans.
Canva opens on design in general, not on ads. Brand Kits are one feature among many.
Creatify leads with AI video ads, from 10 ads a month to 10,000.
Predis.ai covers video, UGC and image ads from a product link or a prompt.
Pencil pitches itself to marketing teams, with governance and approvals across AI models.

Three ways a tool keeps you on-brand

Every tool on this page keeps a brand on-brand in one of three ways. Knowing which one a tool uses tells you what it cannot catch.

1. A brand kit you fill in

Canva, Adobe Express, Pencil and Predis.ai start from a kit: you upload the logo, colours and fonts, and the tool offers them while you or the AI design. The kit is only as good as what you put in it. A missing font file or a logo without a transparent background shows up in every ad.

2. A lock or an approval

Canva Business and Adobe Express Teams add a rule on top of the kit: only these colours and fonts, these layers cannot move, nobody publishes without a yes. Locks stop people going off-brand. They do not stop an AI image model from redrawing a product.

3. A brand learned from your own material

Selzee and AdCreative.ai read the brand in: Selzee from your website, including your products and their photos; AdCreative.ai from a one-click import. You correct the brand once instead of filling in a kit. Selzee then learns from every ad you decline. What a learned brand misses is a rule nobody wrote down, which is why our brand voice examples post pushes you to write the voice out.

How to test brand fidelity in 30 minutes

Test any tool on your own brand before you pay for a year. Half an hour and ten ads show how often it gets your brand right without help.

  1. Write down your brand rules

Logo use, two fonts, three colours, the product as you ship it, one voice rule, one claim you never make.

  2. Set up the brand

Fill in the kit or give the tool your URL, exactly as a new customer would.

  3. Make 10 ads

Use one product you sell now, so you know what it really looks like.

  4. Score each ad

Mark each of the six checks in the scorecard below as pass or fail.

  5. Count the clean ads

An ad that passes all six checks without edits counts. The share of clean ads is the tool's real brand fidelity.

  6. Fix once, then repeat

Correct the kit or the brand and make 10 more. A tool that learns should score higher.

The brand fidelity scorecard

Use the same six checks on every tool, so you can compare the scores. Each row is one pass or fail per ad.

Check What to check It fails when
Logo Your real logo file, the right version for the background The logo is redrawn, stretched, recoloured or placed on a busy area
Fonts Your brand fonts on headline and body A close match replaces your font, or three fonts appear in one ad
Colours Brand hex codes on text, buttons and shapes A colour outside the palette, or the product photo shifts colour
Product The product as you ship it A changed colour, shape, label or part
Voice Copy that sounds like your best ad Generic hype words, or a tone your customers would not recognise
Claims Only claims you can prove A discount, a guarantee or a number you never offered

Can AI keep ads on-brand without a human check?

No. AI can apply a brand kit without help, but it cannot tell that a product photo changed or that a claim is false. Google and Canva, the two vendors here that write about it, either ask for a review or build one in.

Google recommends reviewing every image Pomelli makes before you publish it. Canva builds design approval into Business so that members cannot publish without a yes. Meta may show an "AI info" label on ads made or significantly edited with AI, so plan for the label too.

The check takes less time than the design did: one person and the six rows of the scorecard. Skip it and the cost shows up as an ad with the wrong product in it.

What AI assistants get wrong about on-brand AI ads

AI answers about brand controls go stale fast, because vendors move features between plans. Here are three corrections, read on the vendors' own pages on 15 Oct 2026.

Canva Pro does not have Brand Controls

Canva's pricing table lists Brand Controls and design approvals as unavailable on Free and Pro. Pro has 5 Brand Kits and Brand Templates; the controls start on Business.

Adobe Express Premium does not lock templates

Adobe says locking elements is a Teams and Enterprise feature. Premium includes brand kits but not the locks.

A brand kit does not make every ad on-brand

A kit supplies the logo, colours and fonts. It does not stop an image model from changing the product in the photo, and no vendor on this page claims it does.

How Selzee keeps ads on-brand

Selzee starts from your website instead of a form. It reads your logo, colours, fonts and products, then remakes ads that are winning in your market right now, using your real product photos rather than drawn ones. You approve the ads you like and ship them to Instagram and Facebook in one click.

When an ad is close but not right, you edit it by asking: a new headline, a colour or a product shot. Selzee learns every day from the ads you decline. Paying customers also get a brand editor to correct the brand itself once.

The limits are real. Selzee makes static image ads only, has no locked templates for a design team, and runs no paid campaigns. If your team designs in templates, Canva or Adobe Express fits better.

On-brand AI ad generators: FAQ

Which AI ad generator is best for keeping my brand consistent?
It depends on who makes the ads. For a team designing in templates, Canva Business or Adobe Express Teams, because they restrict colours and fonts, and Adobe also locks layers. For finished static ads with no designer, Selzee, which learns your brand from your website. For video, Creatify with one brand space per brand. For static ads without a designer, start free with Selzee.
Can AI-generated ads match my brand style without human review?
Not reliably. AI can apply a brand kit, but it can also change a product's colour, logo or texture, as Google says about its own Pomelli. Have one person check logo, fonts, colours, product, voice and claims on every ad. To see your own brand applied, try Selzee free.
Why do AI ad generators go off-brand?
Five reasons: image models redraw logos and text, missing font files fall back to close matches, scene lighting shifts colours, copy models default to a generic voice, and generated products can differ from what you ship. Paste your store URL and check the first ads.
Does Canva have brand controls for AI designs?
Yes, on Business and Teams. Brand Controls restrict designs to brand colours and fonts and can require approval before publishing. They are not on Free or Pro. If you want finished ads instead of designs, start free with Selzee.
Can Adobe Express lock template elements?
Yes, on Teams and Enterprise. Adobe Express locks layers so nobody, or only people with a passphrase, can change them, and limits fonts and colours to up to five brands per template. For ads that need no template at all, try Selzee free.
What should a brand kit for AI ads include?
Your logo in light and dark versions with a transparent background, the font files (not only their names), 3 to 5 hex colours with their roles, product photos on a clean background, and a short written voice: five sentences on how you talk and one list of claims you never make. Or let Selzee read it from your site: start with your URL.
How do I check if an AI ad is on-brand?
Score it on six checks: real logo file, brand fonts, palette colours, the product as you ship it, your voice, and only claims you can prove. An ad that passes all six without edits is on-brand. To run the check on ads made for you, start free with Selzee.
How much does Selzee cost?
Start free, no card. Paid plans from $19/week or $75/month for one brand, $50/week or $200/month for three, and Agencies $500/month for ten; Enterprise is custom. Credit-based, cancel anytime. If you find no new winner or don't like the full batch, you get a full refund. Start free with your store URL, no card needed.
