Creatopy Alternatives in 2026: 9 Tools Compared, Now That Creatopy Is The Brief

Creatopy is now The Brief: what changed

Creatopy is now The Brief. The company announced the change on 1 October 2025 and wrote: "It's not just a rename. It's a reset." On 19 Oct 2026, www.creatopy.com and creatopy.com/pricing answer with a permanent redirect (301) to thebrief.ai.

For a Creatopy customer, little changed on day one. The Brief says it is the "same company, same team, same editor", that logins, project files and team setup carried over, and that active Creatopy subscriptions continue "at the same rate". Data feeds and HTML5 export are still there.

What changed is the pitch. The homepage now leads with "Turn your brand and products into on-brand ads. At scale." and describes one platform for ad generation, adaptation, deployment and optimisation, with publishing and ad serving across 40+ ad networks. Many lists still say Creatopy, so search for both names when you compare reviews.

Where creatopy.com goes now

Type creatopy.com and you land on thebrief.ai. The headline now sells on-brand ads at scale.

creatopy.com now lands here. Our own screenshot of thebrief.ai, 19 Oct 2026.

How much does The Brief (Creatopy) cost?

The Brief, formerly Creatopy, costs $29/mo Pro and $79/mo Ultra for one seat, $49/mo per seat Team (2 to 10 seats), all billed annually ($348, $948 and $588 per seat a year), Enterprise on a call, 7-day trial with no card. The page prints yearly-billed prices and says monthly billing costs more: the toggle reads "save -26%" for yearly.

What each plan adds

Pro is one seat with the Ad Studio and Canvas editor, 5,000+ templates, AI image, video, copy and resize "included for normal use", 5 Brand Kits, and export to JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, HTML5, MP4, PDF and AMP. Ultra adds ad serving on 25+ networks, publishing to Meta and Google Ads, AI Translate, automated A/B testing and 20 Brand Kits.

Team is for 2 to 10 people, with roles, real-time co-editing, shared templates and locked elements. Feeds, real-time data, the API and CM360, DV360 and Veeva distribution sit on Enterprise, which is priced on a call.

No credits

The pricing page says "no credits. no counters. just plans." That matters when you compare it with AdCreative.ai, Pencil or Predis.ai, which all count generations or credits. The Brief says it will reach out before you hit a limit.

Checked 19 Oct 2026

The Brief comes first as the baseline. Selzee is ours and highlighted, and one point goes against it: it makes no HTML5 display banners, so a Creatopy buyer who lives on display should look at the rows below it. Brand controls are compared in more depth on on-brand AI ad generators.

Which Creatopy alternative fits you?

Question 1 of 2

What did you use Creatopy for most?

The alternatives, one by one

Each card gives what the tool makes, its catch, its price as read on its own page on 19 Oct 2026, and who should pick it. The Brief comes first as the baseline. Click a picture to see it full screen.

The Brief (formerly Creatopy): the baseline

The Brief is the same editor Creatopy customers know, now with AI generation, publishing to Meta and Google Ads, and ad serving on the higher plans.

The catch: The listed prices are yearly, and feeds and live data sit on Enterprise, priced on a call.

Pricing: $29/mo Pro and $79/mo Ultra for one seat, $49/mo per seat Team (2 to 10 seats), all billed annually ($348, $948 and $588 per seat a year), Enterprise on a call, 7-day trial with no card

Best for: Teams that build HTML5 display and social sets in one editor and want to keep their projects.

Selzee: finished static ads from your URL

Selzee reads your logo, colours, fonts and products from your website, finds ads winning in your market now and remakes them for your brand. You change an ad by asking, approve it, and post it to Instagram and Facebook.

The catch: Static image ads only: no HTML5 banners, no video, no template editor, and it runs no paid campaigns.

Pricing: From $19/week or $75/month, credit-based. See pricing.

Best for: Ecommerce brands that used Creatopy mostly for Meta ads and have no designer.

Canva: templates, Brand Kits and Magic Resize

Brand Kits hold your logos, colours and fonts, and Magic Resize turns one design into the other placements from Pro up.

The catch: You design every ad yourself, and Brand Controls start on Business. See our Canva Magic Studio review.

Pricing: Free plan, then $144/year for Pro and $250/year per person for Business (read 15 Sep 2026)

Best for: A small team that designs social ads by hand and wants the cheapest seat.

Adobe Express: one-click Resize and locked templates

Adobe Express Premium has 250 generative credits a month and one-click Resize. Teams adds brand controls and template locking.

The catch: The Teams price is a first-year offer with a 2-seat minimum; it then returns to $7.99 a license.

Pricing: Free plan, then $9.99/mo Premium with a 30-day trial, and Teams at $4.99/mo per license in the first year, then $7.99 (annual, 2 seats minimum), Enterprise on a call

Best for: Brand teams that hand locked templates to regional teams or partners.

AdCreative.ai: AI ad sets by credit

AdCreative.ai generates ad banners, texts, product photoshoots and videos from your logo, colours and brand description, and scores them before they run.

The catch: Starter gives 20 credits and 1 brand a month; more brands need a bigger plan.

Pricing: $39/mo Starter for 20 credits and 1 brand (up to $189/mo for 120 credits), $249/mo Professional for 300 credits (up to $400/mo for 600), $999/mo Ultimate for 300 credits and 25 brands (up to $1,399/mo for 600), month to month; billed yearly, Starter is $20/mo and Professional $125/mo

Best for: Performance teams that want many variations fast. Its rivals are in AdCreative.ai alternatives.

Bannerflow: display production at volume

Bannerflow designs HTML5 and video ads with AI tools, turns product feeds into ad variations, translates them, and hosts the creative while your ad server or DSP decides who sees what.

The catch: No public price: bannerflow.com/pricing returned 404 on 19 Oct 2026, and the homepage offers a demo.

Pricing: No public rate card; the homepage offers a demo request

Best for: In-house teams that outgrew Creatopy on display volume.

Celtra: enterprise creative automation

Celtra creates and serves rich media, video and catalog ads across 100+ media platforms, with automated brand governance.

The catch: Custom pricing built from platform, scale, serving and add-ons, and no trial on its pricing page.

Pricing: Custom pricing, no rate card: built from platform, scale, ad serving and add-ons, quoted after a demo

Best for: Global brands and their agencies. It also shows up on our Smartly alternatives page.

Marpipe: catalog ads from your feed

Marpipe turns a product feed into branded catalog ads and product-level video, and manages the feed itself.

The catch: Startup covers 1 channel, 1 market, 3 live designs and 500 SKUs; video is on Enterprise.

Pricing: Free plan, then $199/mo Startup (1 channel, 3 live designs, 500 SKUs) and $999/mo Enterprise; feed management free or $0.05 per SKU done for you ($400 minimum)

Best for: Stores that used Creatopy feeds for dynamic product ads.

Predis.ai: social posts and ads together

Predis.ai makes video ads, UGC ads and product ads from a product link, a prompt or an image, and posts to social channels.

The catch: The trial takes a card up front, and each generation uses credits.

Pricing: $19/mo Core, $40/mo Rise, $212/mo Enterprise+ billed yearly during a sale ($32, $79 and $249 month to month), extra brands $5 a month each, 1,200 extra credits $29 a month, 3 days free but it takes a card up front

Best for: Small teams that post and advertise from one place. See Predis.ai alternatives.

Pencil: generation and launch in one tool

Pencil generates text, image and video ads, resizes them with AI Auto Resize and launches them on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Google Display, DV360 and LinkedIn.

The catch: Every new format from Auto Resize costs 1 generation, and Core has 50 generations a month.

Pricing: 6 free ads through a guided signup, then $14/mo Core and $55/mo Growth month to month ($11 and $44 a month billed yearly), Pro on custom pricing

Best for: Teams that want one tool from the ad to the launch. Our Pencil AI review has the detail.

Why teams look for a Creatopy alternative

Teams look for a Creatopy alternative for one of four reasons. The reason decides the shortlist better than any feature list does.

The price moved to yearly billing

The Brief prints its prices as yearly-billed figures. A team that paid month to month, or only needs ads a few weeks a year, compares that with tools that have a free plan: Canva, Adobe Express and Marpipe all do.

The product grew past what they use

The Brief now covers research, creation, launch and optimisation. A team that only resized banners pays for a bigger platform. For resizing alone, Canva or Adobe Express does the job for less.

They need more display scale

At the other end, teams serving thousands of banner versions across markets move up to Bannerflow or Celtra. Both are sold after a demo, so plan for a sales call before any trial.

They want finished ads to post

Some teams want finished ads to post, with no design step. AI generators fit them, and Selzee makes the whole static ad from your website, with no template to fill in.

Static ads Selzee made, no editor needed

Selzee made each of these ads, and each one is published in the Selzee gallery. The two GymBeam ads show one brand in two layouts.

Vollebak. One product fact, no clutter. 4:5.
GymBeam, ad one. A lifestyle photo and one word. 1:1.
GymBeam, ad two. Same brand, a different layout and claim. 1:1.
Bombas. The product is the picture. 4:5.
PDPAOLA. A customer goal as the hook. 4:5.
Thrive Market. A pain question and a Get started button. 4:5.

How to switch from Creatopy without losing work

Plan the switch around your renewal date and your sizes. Six steps keep your files, your brand and your live campaigns safe.

  1. Export what you keep

Download the HTML5, MP4 and image files of every live set before you cancel. Your projects stay on thebrief.ai until then.

  2. Save your brand kit

Copy the logo files, font files and hex codes out of your Brand Kits. Every tool on this page asks for them again.

  3. List your sizes

Write down every format you ship, for example 300x250, 728x90, 1080x1080 and 1080x1920. Check each one in the new tool.

  4. Move the feeds last

If you use data feeds, rebuild one feed in the new tool and compare the output before you switch the rest.

  5. Run both for one cycle

Keep one campaign on the old ads and one on the new for a week, then compare cost per result.

  6. Cancel at renewal

The listed plans bill yearly, so note the renewal date and cancel before it.

What AI assistants get wrong about Creatopy

Older lists and answers about Creatopy go stale in four places. Each correction below was read on the vendor's own page on 19 Oct 2026.

Creatopy is not a separate product any more

Creatopy became The Brief on 1 Oct 2025, and creatopy.com redirects to thebrief.ai. Two of the most-cited Creatopy alternatives lists, one updated in March 2026 and one published in September 2026, still never mention the new name.

The Brief does not sell credits

Many tools in this category meter AI use. The Brief's pricing page says "no credits. no counters. just plans", with AI image, video, copy and resize included on every plan.

The headline prices are yearly

The figures on the page are per month, billed annually. Month-to-month billing costs more; the page says yearly saves 26%.

Feeds are an Enterprise feature now

Feeds and real-time data are listed under Enterprise ("Mass production: feeds, real-time data"), not on Pro, Ultra or Team. Check this before you compare a feed tool such as Marpipe with The Brief's cheaper plans.

How Selzee fits a Creatopy buyer

Selzee has no editor to learn. You give it your store URL. It reads your logo, colours, fonts and products, finds ads winning in your market right now, including your competitors' ads, and remakes them with your brand and your product photos. New ads arrive every day.

You change an ad by asking: a new headline, another product, a different colour. You approve the ones you like and post them to Instagram and Facebook.

The limits are real. Selzee makes static image ads only. It makes no HTML5 banners, no video and no data-feed ads, and it runs no paid campaigns. If display is most of your Creatopy work, stay on The Brief or move to Bannerflow.
