Can AI tools reliably spot winning ad trends across platforms?

Partly. TikTok ranks top ads by reach and CTR; Meta and Google show what runs and for how long, not results. Read signals, then test.

The answer

Partly. AI tools spot ad trends reliably only where a platform publishes a performance signal. TikTok's Creative Center collects high-performing ads and sorts them by reach and CTR. Meta's Ad Library and Google's Ads Transparency Center show which ads run, since when and in what format, but ordinary commercial ads show no spend, clicks or sales.

Where results are hidden, a tool reads behaviour: how long an ad has run, whether it gets new versions, and whether the same hook or offer repeats across many brands. Those are signals, not proof. TikTok's Top Ads only holds ads advertisers authorized for it, and a trend on one platform is a test idea for another, not a sure win.

So treat what an AI tool finds as a shortlist to test on your own account, and judge each test by cost per result. Selzee finds trending and long-running ads on Meta, shows each original ad's start date, and recreates the idea for your brand.
