The answer

The Meta Ad Library is a free, public database of the ads running across Meta's apps, including Facebook and Instagram. Anyone can search it at facebook.com/ads/library.

For every active ad you can see the creative and the copy, the advertiser, the date it started running, the platforms it runs on, and whether it has several versions. You can search by advertiser or keyword and filter by country. A new ad appears within 24 hours of its first impression.

Ads about social issues, elections or politics show more: spend and reach ranges, who paid for them, and a 7-year archive that stays after they stop. Ads delivered in the EU show extra details and stay for one year after their last impression. Other commercial ads show no spend or results.
