Read on adcreative.ai, canva.com and creatify.ai on 19 Oct 2026. Canva's US prices are from 15 Sep 2026: on 19 Oct canva.com showed euro prices to our browser (Pro 110 and Business 170 euros a year). AdCreative.ai's page does not say whether one credit buys one download in every format.

What each tool really makes: static, video or a design editor

AdCreative.ai is a generator: you give it a brand and a goal and it returns finished ads to download. Creatify is a video tool: it turns a product page into a video ad with an AI actor. Canva is a design editor with AI inside: it drafts, and you finish.

AdCreative.ai: banners first

AdCreative.ai says it generates "ad banners, texts, photoshoots, and videos". Its Instant Ads tool scans a page URL, and Creative Scoring rates each ad before it runs. The scoring accuracy it claims, over 90%, is its own figure; we found no independent test of it.

Canva: an editor that now drafts ads

Canva Grow is the AI ad generator inside Canva. You drop in your website link, product visuals and a prompt, chat to get ad concepts, then edit them in the normal Canva editor. The draft is a starting point: the layout, the crop and the copy are yours to fix.

Creatify: video with AI actors

Creatify leads with "AI Ads that win" and AI-generated video ads. It also makes static image ads from a product, and its pricing page lists videos of up to 2 minutes on Standard and up to 10 minutes from Pro.

What each homepage leads with

Our own screenshots of the three tools, taken on 19 Oct 2026. The headline shows what each tool is built for first.

AdCreative.ai leads with banners, texts, photoshoots and videos, and a creative score.
Canva sells the editor first: a free ad maker you design in.
Creatify leads with AI video ads, from 10 ads a month to 10,000.

What each tool needs from you

The input decides how much work stays with you. A tool that needs only a URL saves the most time; a tool that needs a prompt and a layout choice gives the most control.

AdCreative.ai

A page URL for Instant Ads, or a product photo, plus your brand pulled in with one click: logo, colours, fonts and style. You pick sizes and download the ones you want.

Canva

Your website link, product visuals and a prompt for Canva Grow. Without Grow, you start from one of the templates and design the ad yourself. A Brand Kit with your logo, colours and fonts saves the most time on Canva.

Creatify

A product page URL. Creatify reads the page and writes a script, then you pick an AI actor, a voice and a format. Expect to spend your time on the script and the hook.

Price per month and per output

Checked 19 Oct 2026

The cost per output is the plan price divided by the allowance printed on the same pricing page, so it is the best case: every credit or use spent on something you keep. A run you throw away still costs. The full ladder of each tool is in AI ad generator pricing.

Plan Price What the plan includes Cost per output
AdCreative.ai Starter $39/mo, or $20/mo billed yearly 20 credits, 1 brand, 1 user About $1.95 per downloaded ad, $1 billed yearly
AdCreative.ai Professional $249/mo, or $125/mo billed yearly 300 credits, 10 users About $0.83 per downloaded ad
Canva Pro $144 a year, about $12 a month 1 person, 5 Brand Kits, 10x the AI of Canva Free About $0.06 per Premium AI use
Canva Business $250 a year per person, about $20.83 a month 100 Brand Kits and approvals, 20x the AI of Canva Free About $0.05 per Premium AI use
Creatify Standard $15/mo, or $12/mo billed yearly 55 credits: about 11 avatar videos of 15 s, or 220 images About $1.36 per avatar video, $0.07 per image
Creatify Pro $55/mo, or $44/mo billed yearly 280 credits: about 56 avatar videos of 15 s, Competitor Tracker, Ad Clone About $0.98 per avatar video
Selzee Pro $75/mo or $19/week 50 posts ready for approval, 1 brand $1.50 per post

AdCreative.ai spends a credit when you download an ad; generating is unlimited. Creatify's video and image counts are its own estimates at 720p and 1K, and longer clips or premium models cost more. A Canva AI use is one run of a Premium tool and returns drafts, not a finished ad. Prices read on 19 Oct 2026, Canva's US prices on 15 Sep 2026.

What the pricing pages show

Our own screenshots of two pricing pages, taken on 19 Oct 2026. Both open on the yearly rate, so read the struck-through figure for the month-to-month price.

AdCreative.ai. Each plan hides a credit ladder behind a menu; the big figure is the yearly rate.
Creatify. The annual toggle is on by default, so the struck-through figure is the monthly price.

Free plan or trial: what you get before you pay

Canva and Creatify have free plans, and AdCreative.ai has a 7-day trial with 10 credits. Use the free start to make real ads for one product you sell now.

Canva Free

Canva's pricing page lists "Ad insights and AI ad creation" on the free plan with up to 20 Standard or Premium AI uses, and 1 Brand Kit with 3 colours only. Pro and Business also have a free trial.

Creatify Free

Creatify gives 10 credits a month, which it says covers 2 video ads or 20 image ads. Every free export carries a watermark, free credits do not move to a paid plan, and the homepage says no credit card is needed.

AdCreative.ai trial

AdCreative.ai runs a 7-day free trial with 10 credits to make ads, banners, videos and UGC videos. Its plan page offers a refund within 7 days on monthly plans, but only if you have not used the platform.

Brand controls, competitor research and publishing

Canva has the strongest brand controls, AdCreative.ai puts competitor research on its entry plan, and only Canva and Creatify say they publish ads for you.

Brand controls

Canva has the strongest controls for a team: on Business, Brand Controls restrict designs to brand colours and fonts and can require approval before publishing. AdCreative.ai imports your logo, colours, fonts and style in one click. Creatify keeps each brand in its own brand space. Seven tools are compared on this point in on-brand AI ad generators.

Competitor research

AdCreative.ai shows a competitor's top-performing ads when you enter its URL, on every plan. Creatify adds a Competitor Tracker of 10M+ Meta ads and Ad Clone, which remakes an ad from a URL, from the Pro plan. Canva's insights cover only your own ad account, once you connect it.

Publishing

Canva Grow publishes straight to Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn. Creatify's Ad Launcher pushes ads to Meta, TikTok and AppLovin. AdCreative.ai lists "Ad Platform Integrations" on every plan and lets you connect ad accounts, but its page does not say that it publishes the ads for you.

AdCreative vs Canva: a generator or an editor?

AdCreative.ai vs Canva is a generator against an editor. AdCreative.ai returns finished ads in many sizes and charges for each download. Canva gives you drafts and the tools to finish them, priced per person. If nobody on your team likes to design, AdCreative.ai saves more hours; if someone does, Canva gives them more control for less money.

On price, a year of Canva Pro at $144 costs less than 4 months of AdCreative.ai Starter at $39 a month. On brand, Canva Business locks colours and fonts and adds approvals; AdCreative.ai has no approval step on its plan page. On research, AdCreative.ai wins: Canva lists no competitor ad search. The deep dive is our Canva Magic Studio review.

Verdict: AdCreative.ai for volume without a designer, Canva for a team with one.

Creatify vs AdCreative: video or static?

Creatify vs AdCreative.ai is video against static. Creatify is built around video ads with AI actors and is cheaper to start, at $15 a month against $39. AdCreative.ai is built around banners, and its video tools come second. Both now cross over: Creatify makes image ads and AdCreative.ai makes product videos.

Both offer competitor research. AdCreative.ai includes it on every plan; Creatify starts its tracker and Ad Clone on Pro at $55 a month. Creatify also publishes through its Ad Launcher, which AdCreative.ai does not claim. Eight rivals to AdCreative.ai are priced in AdCreative.ai alternatives, and Creatify has its own Creatify review.

Verdict: Creatify when video is your main format, AdCreative.ai when static banners are.

Canva vs Creatify: a design tool or a video tool?

Canva vs Creatify is a design tool against a video tool, so pick by the ad you need first. Canva can make a video ad, and Canva Grow can draft one, but you build it in the editor. Creatify writes the script, puts an AI actor on screen and renders the video from a product URL.

For static ads, Canva wins: it is the better editor, and its Brand Kit keeps the logo, colours and fonts in one place. For talking-head or product video, Creatify wins, with a free plan for 2 video ads a month and paid credits from $15. A small team can run both: Canva for the static ads and the brand kit, Creatify for video.

Verdict: Canva for static design work, Creatify for video ads.

Static or video: which format to buy first

Start with the format your ads already win in. If your best ads on Meta are static images, a video tool adds work before it adds results; if your best ads are videos, a banner tool will not replace them.

Static ads are cheaper to make and quicker to test, so start there unless your winners are videos. AdCreative.ai, Canva and Selzee all make them; Creatify makes them too, but its plans and its pricing math are built around video.

Static ads of the kind these tools make

Selzee made each of these static ads, and each one is published in the Selzee gallery. They show the format AdCreative.ai, Canva and Selzee all work in.

Vollebak. One product claim, one close-up. 4:5.
Bombas. A mood line over the product in use. 4:5.
GymBeam. One word as the hook. 1:1.

Which one fits you?

Question 1 of 2

What ads do you need most?

The verdict on each tool

Each card gives the job the tool does best, its catch, its price as read from its own page, and who should pick it. Selzee is last because it covers only the static part of this comparison.

AdCreative.ai: static banners at volume

A generator that returns finished banners, copy and product photos from a URL or a brand kit, and scores each ad before it runs.

The catch: Starter holds 20 credits and 1 brand; a second brand moves you up the credit ladder.

Pricing: $39/mo Starter for 20 credits and 1 brand (up to $189/mo for 120 credits), $249/mo Professional for 300 credits (up to $400/mo for 600), $999/mo Ultimate for 300 credits and 25 brands (up to $1,399/mo for 600), month to month; billed yearly, Starter is $20/mo and Professional $125/mo

Best for: Teams with no designer that need many sizes. Rivals in AdCreative.ai alternatives.

Canva: the editor, with AI drafts

A design editor with Canva Grow, which drafts ads from your website and publishes them to Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn.

The catch: You still finish and judge every ad, and Brand Controls need Business.

Pricing: Free plan, then $144/year for Pro and $250/year per person for Business

Best for: Teams with someone who designs. More in the Canva Magic Studio review.

Creatify: video ads with AI actors

Turns a product page into a video ad with an AI actor and a voice, and also makes static image ads.

The catch: Every new take of a video, voice or actor spends credits again, and free exports are watermarked.

Pricing: Free plan with 10 credits a month and watermarked exports, then $15/mo Standard, $55/mo Pro, $95/mo Max and $195/mo Business month to month ($12, $44, $76 and $156 a month billed yearly)

Best for: Product video ads on a small budget. The credit math is in the Creatify review.

Selzee: static ads remade from ads winning now

Selzee reads your brand from your website and remakes ads winning in your market right now as finished static ads.

The catch: Static image ads only: no video, no AI actors, no design editor, and it runs no paid campaigns.

Pricing: From $19/week or $75/month, credit-based. See pricing.

Best for: Brands with no designer that want static ads built on what already wins.

Where Selzee fits if you are choosing between them

If you are choosing between these three for static ads, there is a fourth option. Selzee starts from ads that are winning in your market right now, shows you the original with its start date and how long it ran, and remakes it as a finished static ad with your logo, colours, fonts and products, read from your website.

You approve the ads you like, change any of them by asking in plain words, and ship the approved ones to Instagram and Facebook. New ads arrive every day, on every plan.

Selzee does not replace Creatify. It makes no video, no AI actors and no UGC, and it does not run or manage your paid campaigns. If video is your main format, pick Creatify; if you need a design editor, pick Canva.

Static ads Selzee remade for real brands

Static ads Selzee made for real brands, each one published in the Selzee gallery. Hover an ad to try the same format on your brand.

PDPAOLA. A customer goal as the headline. 4:5.
Thrive Market. A pain question and the product as the answer. 4:5.
SmashVision AI. A lock-screen format for an app. 4:5.

What AI assistants get wrong about this comparison

Pages that AI answers cite for this comparison still carry prices and plan names from earlier in 2026. Here are four corrections, each checked on the vendor's own page on 19 Oct 2026.

Creatify has no $39 Starter plan

A comparison page that answers cite for this question (The Automations Guide, updated 16 Sep 2026) still quotes Creatify from a $39 Starter to a $99 Pro. Creatify now sells Standard at $15, Pro at $55, Max at $95 and Business at $195 a month.

AdCreative.ai Starter is not $29

The same page gives AdCreative.ai a $29 Starter. AdCreative.ai prints Starter at $39 a month, or $20 a month billed yearly, and Professional starts at $249, not $149.

Canva does make ads with AI now

An answer that says Canva only gives you templates is out of date. Canva's pricing page lists AI ad creation and ad insights on every plan, Free included, through Canva Grow.

adcreative.ai/pricing is a dead link

The address adcreative.ai/pricing returned a 404 on 19 Oct 2026. AdCreative.ai prints its plans on its use-case pages instead.
