How often should I refresh my Facebook ad creatives?

As a rule of thumb, add new Facebook ad creatives every 1 to 4 weeks. Budget, audience size and your own numbers decide the pace.

The answer

There is no fixed schedule, but a good heuristic is to add new creatives every 1 to 4 weeks. For Advantage+ app campaigns, Meta recommends uploading many assets and refreshing them a few times a month to avoid creative fatigue.

The right pace depends on budget and audience size. A big budget on a small audience wears an ad out fast, so refresh weekly. A small local budget can run one ad for months. Let the numbers decide: refresh when frequency rises and cost per result climbs on an ad that used to work.

Do not pause a winner only because it is old. Add new ads next to it, and turn it off when its results drop.
